Sheffield Health and Wellbeing Board’s Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment 2025-2028 consultation

The Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) helps plan and improve pharmacy services to meet the needs of local people. It’s an important tool for NHS England when deciding whether new pharmacies can open.
The PNA points out any gaps in services, so local health organisations can make sure everyone has proper access to pharmacy services.
The Sheffield Health and Wellbeing Board is under a statutory obligation to draft, consult upon, and publish a PNA assessment by 1 October 2025. This is in accordance with the National Health Service (Pharmaceutical and Local Pharmaceutical Services) Regulations 2013.
Give feedback on the PNA
We would appreciate your feedback on the draft PNA document.
The statutory 60-day consultation period will run from Tuesday 29 of July 2025 to Friday 26 September 2025.
